The state of aesthetic treatments in Singapore, 2026
People in Singapore search for the 153 treatments reviewed on this site about 94,340 times a month. 28 per cent of that interest goes to treatments the evidence rates Trend or Caution; 60 per cent to treatments rated Vetted or Established. This report sets the search demand beside the verdicts, treatment by treatment and category by category, so that the gap between what is searched for and what is supported can be seen in one place.
Data: Ahrefs Singapore monthly search volumes (October 2026) for 321 search terms mapped to 153 reviewed treatments; verdicts as published on this site on 6 October 2026. Method and CSV below. Updated each October.

What the numbers say
Pico laser is the most-searched aesthetic treatment in Singapore at about 6,100 searches a month and is rated Vetted; the next most-searched, PDRN and polynucleotides (4,800), is rated Established.
Skincare ingredients draw more search interest than most clinic devices: niacinamide, retinoids, azelaic acid and vitamin C together account for 14,100 searches a month, all rated Established.
24 treatments are rated Caution. Together they draw 11,720 searches a month — led by Glutathione 'whitening' pills (2,900) and Mewing and 'looksmaxxing' (1,800).
Viral routines and supplements — gua sha, castor oil, lymphatic drainage, biotin, glutathione pills — attract 20,950 searches a month, more than all injectables combined (14,470).
Energy devices — HIFU, Ultherapy, monopolar radiofrequency, RF microneedling and their variants — are the category where demand and evidence line up most closely: 2 per cent of their demand goes to Trend or Caution verdicts.
Demand is a measure of interest, not of treatments performed, and search volumes are estimates. The pattern, rather than any single number, is the finding: a large share of what people look for is not what the evidence supports, and the treatments with the strongest evidence are often searched for least.
“28 per cent of Singapore's search interest in aesthetic treatments goes to treatments rated Trend or Caution — popular for social reasons, or not yet supported by the evidence.”
Method and data
Each of the 153 reviewed treatments is mapped to the Singapore search terms people use for it (321 terms in all). Monthly search volumes are Ahrefs estimates for Singapore, taken in October 2026; a treatment's demand is the volume of its most-searched term, so that overlapping terms are not double-counted. Verdicts are the editorial verdicts published on this site. Demand is a measure of interest, not of treatments performed.
