What is the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift?

The VF Lift – Vertical Facelift is a facial lifting protocol developed by Dr Sin Yong in Singapore, delivered with Volnewmer monopolar radiofrequency (CLASSYS), and used for jowls and jawline, nasolabial folds, midface and more.

A face does not descend uniformly, so it is not treated uniformly. The VF Lift is a planned sequence of monopolar radiofrequency passes delivered along vertical vectors — tip by tip, region by region — against the direction in which that particular face has descended.

It is not a device. It is a way of using one. Controlled heating causes collagen fibres to contract, and new collagen is laid down over the weeks that follow. What the vertical vector adds is direction: energy is delivered along the axis the face descended from, rather than uniformly across it.

Nothing is introduced into the face. Where volume appears restored, it comes from the patient's own tissue responding to stimulation, not from injected product. The same framework is customised for the body — tummy, underarms and thighs.

How it is planned

Lift

SMAS laxity and fascial descent — jowling, midface drop, loss of jawline definition.

Reduce

Puffiness and excess volume in the lower face and under the chin.

Restore

Stimulating the patient's own adipose and collagen response where temples, cheeks and periorbital zones have hollowed.

Where it is used

  • Jowls and jawline
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Midface
  • Neck
  • Hollow temples and cheeks
  • Upper eyelids and brow (where suitable)
  • Tummy, underarms and thighs (VF Body)

Course and recovery

No incisions and no general anaesthesia. Most people describe warmth during treatment. An early freshness can appear within days; the lifting and firming develop over the following weeks as collagen responds. Intervals are set to what the face needs rather than a fixed timetable, and there are no packages.

What it is not

  • It is not simply skin tightening. Deciding which of the three problems a face actually has comes before choosing anything.
  • It is not a substitute for surgery where laxity is extensive. Dr Sin Yong will say so at assessment.
  • It is not a fixed pairing of machines. The protocol is the sequence and the vectors, planned for one face.
“A non-surgical facelift is a description of what a patient wants, not of what a machine does. Deciding which of the three problems you actually have comes before choosing anything.”

Questions

Is the VF Lift a HIFU treatment?
No. The VF Lift is built on monopolar radiofrequency delivered along vertical vectors. Focused ultrasound is a different modality with a different job, and the two are not interchangeable.
Does it use filler?
No. Nothing is injected. Where volume appears restored, it is the patient's own tissue responding to stimulation.
How many sessions are needed?
That is decided at assessment. There are no standard protocols and no packages — intervals follow what the face needs.

Assessment first

Whether the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift suits a face or a body is decided at an in-person assessment with Dr Sin Yong in Singapore. There are no packages, and the honest answer is sometimes a different protocol — or none.
