What is the Time Freeze Laser LCLR®?

The Time Freeze Laser LCLR® is a face and body protocol developed by Dr Sin Yong in Singapore, delivered with Long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite / 1064 nm Nd:YAG, and used for jowls and nasolabial folds, upper eyelid and brow, under-eye and more.

LCLR® stands for Laser Collagen Lipo Remodelling: a scanning laser protocol that delivers controlled bulk heating across a treatment zone, combining collagen contraction during the session with progressive new collagen over the following weeks — and, where it is wanted, remodelling of unwanted fat and fibrous tissue.

Dual wavelengths reach different depths. The protocol scans a broader zone than a point treatment, which is what allows it to address laxity across the lower face and neck, and on the body, in a single framework.

It is also the protocol Dr Sin Yong uses to remodel over-stimulated collagen after biostimulatory injectables — mapped by ultrasound, because a collagen stimulator cannot be dissolved; it has to be remodelled.

How it is planned

Laxity correction

Controlled heating at the depths where laxity sits.

Collagen remodelling

Contraction in the session; new collagen over four to eight weeks.

Lipo-remodelling

Bulk heating to reshape unwanted fat and fibrous tissue where that is the problem.

Where it is used

  • Jowls and nasolabial folds
  • Upper eyelid and brow
  • Under-eye
  • Neck
  • Underarms, tummy, thighs and back
  • Over-stimulated collagen after Ellansé, Sculptra and similar agents

Course and recovery

Numbing cream is applied; most patients describe warmth, and redness afterwards is usually brief. The response builds over two to three months. It is not appropriate for pronounced laxity where a surgical facelift would be the more effective option.

What it is not

  • It is not laser hair removal, although it shares the platform. The protocol, scan pattern and endpoints are different.
  • It is not a filler-dissolving treatment. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved in minutes; collagen stimulators cannot — they are remodelled.
  • It cannot lift what only surgery can.
“A laser cannot lift what only surgery can — but most faces are not surgical yet.”

Questions

Why a doctor rather than a salon device?
Depth and energy are selected and adjusted during the session by the doctor, based on anatomy and tissue response, not a fixed preset.
Who is it suited to?
Typically mild to moderate laxity. Pronounced laxity is better served surgically, and that is said at assessment.
Can it treat the body?
Yes — underarms, tummy, thighs, back and buttocks are mapped and treated with the same principles.

Assessment first

Whether the Time Freeze Laser LCLR® suits a face or a body is decided at an in-person assessment with Dr Sin Yong in Singapore. There are no packages, and the honest answer is sometimes a different protocol — or none.
