What is the Luminescence Laser Lift?

The Luminescence Laser Lift is a skin, body and hair protocol developed by Dr Sin Yong in Singapore, delivered with Secret Duo fractional 1540 nm laser and RF microneedling, with a Time Freeze LCLR® lifting component, and used for shallower facial scars, melasma (as part of a plan), loose skin on the body and stretch marks and more.

Luminescence is a different route to the same structural change: precision stimulus in the dermis rather than ablation of the surface. It is the protocol Dr Sin Yong turns to for shallower scars, melasma, loose skin on the body — and for the follicular environment in hair thinning.

Non-ablative fractional laser and RF microneedling energy are combined so that the surface is left largely intact while the dermis is remodelled, which shortens recovery compared with ablative work on the same indication.

In hair restoration it treats the follicular environment — a third route, separate from circulation and from the androgen pathway — and is used alongside, not instead of, medical management.

How it is planned

Stimulus

Fractional non-ablative energy delivered into the dermis.

Remodel

Collagen and follicular environment addressed without surface ablation.

Lift

A Time Freeze LCLR® component where laxity is part of the picture.

Where it is used

  • Shallower facial scars
  • Melasma (as part of a plan)
  • Loose skin on the body and stretch marks
  • Hair thinning

Course and recovery

Numbing cream is applied and downtime is short; redness, where it occurs, is brief. Courses are planned progressively and reviewed as the tissue responds.

What it is not

  • It is not a lesser treatment than ablative resurfacing; it is a different one, with a different recovery and different indications.
  • It does not regrow a dead follicle. The work is saving the ones still alive.
  • It is not a single-session result.
“No treatment regrows a dead follicle. The work is saving the ones still alive.”

Questions

How is it different from CO₂ resurfacing?
The surface is left largely intact; change comes from stimulus in the dermis rather than controlled injury of the surface. Which is right depends on the scar and the skin.
Can it treat hair loss?
It treats the follicular environment and is used alongside medical management. The cause of hair loss is the first question, not the last.
What is the downtime?
Short. Redness, where it occurs, is brief.

Assessment first

Whether the Luminescence Laser Lift suits a face or a body is decided at an in-person assessment with Dr Sin Yong in Singapore. There are no packages, and the honest answer is sometimes a different protocol — or none.
