FaceTite and BodyTite
Radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis · 'scarless facelift'
'Scarless facelift' marketing for FaceTite, usually paired with liposuction and RF microneedling, targets people in their forties who want jawline definition without a facelift scar, and the combination features heavily in plastic-surgery social content.
'Scarless' describes the incision, not the recovery or the risk, and it tightens skin without lifting what has descended.
Reviewed against the Aesthetics International standard. Category: Procedures.Does FaceTite and BodyTite work?
Established. 'Scarless' describes the incision, not the recovery or the risk, and it tightens skin without lifting what has descended. Case series and reviews over more than a decade report skin contraction beyond that of liposuction alone, with a 2016 series for the neck and lower face and a 2021 study of subcutaneous RF after liposuction supporting the face and neck application.
- Verdict
- Established Long clinical track record. Results depend on selection and technique more than on the device.
- Evidence base
- 4 PubMed-indexed studies cited below, including systematic reviews.
- Suits
- Mild to moderate laxity of the jowls, neck, arms or abdomen with some fat to remove, in people who want more than non-invasive devices give and less than excisional surgery, under a surgeon experienced with the probe.
- Not for
- Significant skin excess, which still needs a facelift or excision; thin faces with no fat to remove; anyone who believes 'scarless' means risk-free.
- In Singapore
- FaceTite and BodyTite are HSA-registered and are performed by doctors, usually plastic surgeons, in licensed facilities in Singapore.

What it is
InMode's radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) systems pass a thin internal probe under the skin and an external electrode over it; radiofrequency energy flows between them, melting fat and heating the underside of the dermis to a monitored temperature. FaceTite is the small handpiece for the jowls, jawline and neck; BodyTite is the larger one for arms, abdomen and thighs. Both are done through small puncture incisions under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
How it works
The internal electrode liquefies fat for aspiration while the bipolar current heats the fibroseptal network and dermis, producing immediate contraction and months of remodelling. Results depend on candidate selection (mild to moderate laxity with some fat to remove), on the surgeon's control of depth and temperature, and on whether skin excess was mistaken for laxity. It is minimally invasive surgery, not an office device.
What the evidence says
Case series and reviews over more than a decade report skin contraction beyond that of liposuction alone, with a 2016 series for the neck and lower face and a 2021 study of subcutaneous RF after liposuction supporting the face and neck application. A 2026 systematic review of adjuvant tightening technologies in liposuction found RFAL among the better supported, while noting the absence of randomised trials and the surgeon-reported nature of outcomes. A 2025 systematic review of complications documents temporary facial-nerve palsy, burns and contour irregularity, mostly in the face and neck where nerves run close to the plane.

| What it is | InMode's radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) systems pass a thin internal probe under the skin and an external electrode over it; radiofrequency energy flows between them, melting fat and heating the underside of the dermis to a monitored temperature. | GLP-1 receptor agonists are prescription medicines, given as a weekly or daily injection, that mimic a gut hormone to slow stomach emptying and reduce appetite. | A suction cup cools a pinched fold of fat to a temperature that triggers fat-cell death while sparing skin and nerves. |

| Suits | Mild to moderate laxity of the jowls, neck, arms or abdomen with some fat to remove, in people who want more than non-invasive devices give and less than excisional surgery, under a surgeon experienced with the probe. | Adults who meet the medical criteria for weight management treatment, prescribed and monitored by a doctor, who understand that the medicine is continued rather than completed and that eating and activity still matter. | Discrete pinchable pockets — flanks, lower abdomen — in people with good skin recoil who want reduction, not definition. |
| In one line | 'Scarless' describes the incision, not the recovery or the risk, and it tightens skin without lifting what has descended. | The weight loss is real and well measured; so is the regain when it stops. The face it leaves behind is a separate decision, better made once the weight has settled. | Reducing fat under skin that has already lost its recoil leaves the same outline and looser skin — settle which is dominant first. |
Risks
Burns, temporary (rarely lasting) facial-nerve weakness, prolonged firmness and numbness, seroma, contour irregularity and asymmetry; infection and, in the neck, rare airway swelling.
In Singapore
FaceTite and BodyTite are HSA-registered and are performed by doctors, usually plastic surgeons, in licensed facilities in Singapore. Aesthetics International does not offer surgery or RFAL; our non-surgical equivalents are the VF Lift – Vertical Facelift for facial laxity and the 4K Body Lift for body contouring.
